Kacanovy, grass field near to the bathing place, 4 kilometres from Turnov in direction Sobotka.

ATTENTION!!! The street between Turnov and Kacanovy is just being repaired and is closed. We recommend you to leave E65 in Ohrazenice when coming from Prague or Liberec, further on marked by the organiser. When coming from Jičín turn left in Borek, further on marked by the organiser.

STAGE 1 - - - August 20th - - - middle distance

Start:

00 = 9.45, 1800 metres from EC following blue-white stripes.

Finish:

1100 metres from EC following red-white or blue-white stripes (shared route).

Time limit:

90 minutes.

STAGE 2 - - - August 20th - - - middle distance

Start:

00 = 15.30, 400 metres from EC following blue-white stripes.

Finish:

1100 metres from EC (see Stage 1).

Jezírka, IOF Standard, scale 1:5000, e=5m, stand July 2005, size 46x26 centimetres, map is not water-resistant!

Time limit:

90 minutes.

STAGE 3 - - - August 21st - - - long distance

Start:

00 = 9.30, 1100 metres from EC following blue-white stripes.

Finish:

300 metres from EC.

Map:

Svatá Anna, IOF Standard, scale 1:10000, e=5m, stand July 2005, size 30x23 centimetres, map is not water-resistant!

Time limit:

150 minutes.

Course lengths:

Middle distance according to the ČSOB Racing Rules, long distance is a little bit shorter.

Punching system:

SportIdent. If the electronic punching fails, use the mechanic one and R fields on the map. In this case you are to show this immediately after the finishing to be checked by the organiser. Please, check your SI card number in the start list. If it is not correct ask for the emendation at the registration. In case of loss of the rented SI card there is a charge of 700 CZK.

Line classes (DH10L, LP)

Orange stripes. Missing a control point = disqualification.

Terrain:

Rocky, partly with undergrowth, in the northern part with contour details and pits.

WC:

Mobile TOI-TOI toilets at EC, emergency WC in “Kulturák”.

Washing:

Mobile TOI-TOI water-troughs at EC, showers only in the area of bathing place for fee (not provided by the organiser).

Dress-rooms:

Not provided by the organiser, use, please, your tents and cars.

Bathing:

In the area of bathing place for fee (not provided by the organiser).

Protests:

In writing with the 200 CZK deposit, addressed to the main referee.

Jury:

Will be announced on the information desk at EC.

Regulation:

The valid Rules and Racing Rules of ČSOB.

Maps in finish:

Maps are not picked up in the finish. Please, keep fair play!

Medical service:

Doctor at EC.

Refreshment:

Water with syrup in the finishing area.

Awarding ceremony:

The best 3 in all classes in the overall standings will be awarded on Sunday, August 21st around 2 p.m. The overall winner is given by the sum of times in all 3 stages.

Parking:

Parking is possible for 30 CZK for both days only on the dedicated spots! Follow the organiser’s instruction and not leave your cars on the road in the village. They can be dragged away!

Restaurant:

Possibility in “Kulturák”, organiser’s stand “U Marušky”.

Accommodation:

Organiser provides an accommodation in own tents on the grass field at EC. The price is 60 CZK per every 4 square metres and night and is to be paid at EC.

               – Music in “Kulturák”, bring also your own CDs.

O-Kindergarten

Available at EC.

It is strictly forbidden to use grip and spike shoes!

The competition is held in the protected natural area Bohemian Paradise, keep the rules and restrictions, especially what about the fire manipulation in the forest areas!
It is not allowed to organise individual trainings or camps in the competition areas without a previous consultation with the organiser and the relevant administration officials!
